About Us

Clarius Business Services Ltd, trading as Clarius Eco, was founded in 2009 by Ian Broadbent, after a successful career in banking, finance, and credit management. With experience at Barclays, First National Commercial Bank, and Molson Coors, Ian recognized an emerging opportunity in the green sector.

After the introduction of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) through The Energy Performance of Buildings Regulations, Ian became a qualified non-domestic energy assessor in 2009. Clarius Eco started by reaching out to colleagues in finance and property sectors to generate business referrals. EPCs were initially unfamiliar, and compliance was inconsistent across the industry.

As the legal requirement for EPCs grew, so did Clarius Eco’s reputation and client base. We initially served regional surveyors and legal firms, expanding through positive word-of-mouth referrals. Over the years, we built strong relationships, and our clients now include corporate landlords, insolvency practices, private clients, and surveyors across the country.

By 2017/18, Clarius Eco expanded its services to include residential EPCs, Asbestos Reports, SAP, and BRUKL checks for new builds. We also developed a successful partnership with OJ Health and Safety Solutions Ltd, providing complementary services. This partnership led to the merger between Clarius Eco and OJ H&S in August 2024. OJ H&S is now part of the Newable Compliance Group.

Under the ownership of OJ Health and Safety, we look forward to further growth and expansion, providing even more value to our clients.
